A woman in her 60s has died after a hit-and-run crash in Kingsbury.
The incident between a pedestrian and a car happened in Kingsbury Road just before 12.30am today (November 7).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a woman injured.
She was pronounced dead shortly after.
The driver of the car did not stop at the scene.
A crime scene and cordons remain in place as police enquiries into the circumstances continue.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Detectives are investigating a fatal collision at Kingsbury Road, NW9.
“Police were called at 00:27hrs on Thursday, 7 November to reports of a collision at Kingsbury Road in Brent.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service [LAS] attended.
“At the scene a car had been in collision with a female pedestrian.
“The driver of the car did not stop at the scene.
“The injured woman, aged in her 60s, was treated by medics, but despite their efforts, she sadly died at the scene.
“Her next of kin have been informed.
“A crime scene and cordons remain in place while emergency services undertake their enquiries.
“Anyone who witnessed this incident, has dashcam footage, or who knows the identity of the driver should call police on 101 or post on X @MetCC quoting 153/7NOV.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.26am today (Thursday 7 November) to reports of an incident in Kingsbury Road, NW9.
“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer.
“The first of our crews arrived in five minutes.
“Our crews assisted our emergency services partners at the scene.
"Sadly, despite the best efforts of first responders, a woman died at the scene.”
