Police are searching for a suspect after a shop worker was sexually assaulted at Brent Cross.

The Metropolitan Police says officers were called to a store at Brent Cross Shopping Centre just before midday on September 22 after a member of staff was allegedly sexually assaulted.

The suspect had left before staff called police. Officers attended later that day to take a statement, but the victim had left.

A week later, on September 29, police were called just after 11am when the suspect returned to the store. Staff attempted to detain him, but he made off.

A statement has now been taken from the victim and CCTV images of the suspect have been recovered from the store.

Officers are working to identify the suspect from these images, the Metropolitan Police say.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers understand the woman's concerns and enquiries are ongoing.”
