An elderly woman was sexually assaulted and then robbed of jewellery worth around £20,000 in a violent and "extremely distressing" attack.
The 70-year-old woman was left with broken bones after the attack in Regents Park Road, Finchley, at 4.35am on September 13.
The Metropolitan Police says the woman was getting off a bus when she was followed by an unknown man.
According to police, she was pushed into a doorway and sexually assaulted before having her bank cards and roughly £20,000 worth of jewellery stolen.
The woman is in hospital having suffered several broken ribs and a broken leg.
Police have issued three images of a man they would like to speak to concerning the attack.
PC Harry Morrice said: “This was an extremely distressing incident which has left an elderly woman in hospital, having suffered serious injuries.
“We are committed to finding the perpetrator and continue to carry out a number of enquiries in order to hold those responsible to account.
“We are now releasing an image of a man we would like to identify and are asking for assistance from the public.
"We are also keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the robbery, or a man running off."
Anyone who recognises this man or has information should call police on 101 or message @MetCC on X, quoting CAD838/13Sep.
