Firefighters tackled a blaze at an award-winning fish and chip shop.
Four fire engines and 25 firefighters were called to Barracuda, in Headstone Drive, Harrow, this morning (September 23).
The London Fire Brigade was called to tackle the blaze at the restaurant, which has flats above it, at 11.16am.
Eventually the fire was under control by 12.23pm and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
A fire brigade spokesperson said: “Half of a ground-floor extension was destroyed by fire. Three people left the property before the arrival of the brigade. There are currently no reports of any injuries.”
Barracuda, which has been serving customers since 1998, is known in the Harrow area and won the prize for ‘best fish and chip establishment’ in the Good Food Awards 2023.
It also won the ‘best fish and chip establishment for the south of England’ at the same ceremony.
