Cyclists will be barred from a stretch of Carlton Vale during roadworks.

Brent Council has imposed a temporary bike prohibition along a stretch of a cycle lane in Carlton Vale while work is carried out on a power connection.

The ban, which stretches from numbers 141 to 182 Carlton Vale, will start on September 16 and continue through September 27 or until the tasks are complete.

Traffic signs will be in place and access to premises in or around the area will be maintained as best as possible.

Cyclists affected are advised to follow alternative routes per traffic directions, the planning portal notice says.

The Carlton Vale route is the first dedicated cycle lane in Brent which has crossing facilities for pedestrians and is at the heart of the South Kilburn regeneration plans.
