A Post Office branch will be closing its doors to customers.

The Brookfield Estate post office in Salcombe Gardens, Mill Hill, will stop serving customers on August 8.

The Post Office has called it an “unplanned closure” as the postmaster has resigned.

Mohammed Islam, the network provision lead at the Post Office, said: “I would like to assure you that we are working hard to keep any period of closure to a minimum and we are currently investigating the options available which will enable us to reinstate a Post Office service to the local community.

“In exploring this, it is important that any future service is sustainable for the person operating the service, and for Post Office Limited.”

Anyone wishing to use Post Office services can visit the branches at Holders Hill Road or The Broadway at Mill Hill.
