A prolific crack cocaine and heroin dealer who took over a vulnerable woman’s flat to run his drugs line from has been jailed.

Ayodele Adeleke, of Marlborough Road, Islington, ran a drugs line supplying more than 2.8kg of crack cocaine and heroin.

The 29-year-old was arrested in August 2022 after a specialist police investigation.

He was found at the flat of a vulnerable woman whose home he had taken over as a base for his drugs line.

Despite having changed his number three times since March 2022 to avoid detection, his phone contained evidence of the drugs line. Officers also found £3,500 worth of drugs.

On the phone there were videos of Adeleke bragging about being released without charge after a previous arrest, and videos of him showing off large amounts of drugs and cash.

He was jailed for nine years at Snaresbrook Crown Court on May 24 for crack and heroin supply.

Detective Inspector Sam Bennett, whose team conducted the investigation, said: “This is a great result for the Met and the community which shows the importance of tackling drug supply offences given their intrinsic link to violence and the exploitation of vulnerable people.

"Adeleke is a dangerous individual with a proven flagrant disregard for the law and other people - the communities of Hackney and Islington will be safer with him, and the harmful drugs seized, off the streets.”
