Emergency services were scrambled to the scene of a serious incident on the Northern line this morning.
Transport for London said there was no service between Golders Green and Edgware for hours today (May 19) while emergency services dealt with a casualty on the track.
British Transport Police were called to Colindale underground station at 1.18am to assist Metropolitan Police after reports of a trespasser on the tracks.
Paramedics and National Police Air Service attended, but a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
BTP said enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances leading up to their death.
There were minor delays on the rest of the line following the incident and underground tickets were accepted on London buses.
The line has since fully reopened but minor delays persist.
