A man has been charged with murder after a 66-year-old woman was stabbed to death.
Jalal Debella, 22, will appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today (May 11) charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Emergency services, including London's Air Ambulance, were called at around 11.50am on Thursday to reports of a stabbing in Burnt Oak Broadway, Edgware.
A 66-year-old woman was treated at the scene for knife wounds, but died shortly afterwards.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, she died at the scene.
Her family have been informed.
Jalal Debella was arrested on suspicion of murder in the Colindale area on Thursday (May 9).
