A man who was one of a pair of thieves who stole more than £3,000 worth of items at Stansted Airport has been jailed.
Marian Filip, 43, of Stanway Gardens, Edgware, has been sentenced to eight weeks in prison along with Donrina-Irina Filip Catana, 37, of no fixed address.
The incident happened at the World Duty Free shop at the airport on Tuesday (March 26) when Essex Police were alerted by a staff member about seeing a man and a woman act suspiciously.
Officers found Donrina in airside toilets with the stolen items - including bottles of Tom Ford designer fragrances - while Marian was found shortly after when he was about to board a flight.
They were both arrested and charged with theft and appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on March 27 where they admitted to the offences.
They have since been jailed for eight weeks.
