A man has been left with “serious” facial injuries after a crash between a Mercedes and a motorcycle.
Police were called to the A1 Barnet bypass on Sunday afternoon (February 4) after the crash between a blue Mercedes A Class and a black Husqvarna motorbike.
The two vehicles collided on the northbound carriageway of the road close to the slip road at Bignells Corner at around 3.15pm.
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 30s, was subsequently rushed to hospital with “serious” facial injuries. The Mercedes driver stopped at the scene of the crash.
Part of the road was shut for more than six hours following the crash.
Sergeant James Carmichael, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire road policing unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was driving in the area at the time and who witnessed the collision to contact me.
“Additionally, if you have any dash-cam footage from the day of the collision and were driving in the area, please check if you have captured any footage. Thank you.”
