Work to fix park gates that were left hanging from a single hinge is due to be completed at the end of this week – but the cause of the damage remains a mystery.
A picture posted by @LifeInKilburn on X, formerly Twitter, last month showed the entrance gate to Kilburn Grange Park in Messina Avenue “completely destroyed”.
Camden Council has said that as the damage took place overnight, it had not been able to determine exactly what happened.
A spokesperson for the authority told Ham and High today (October 23) that work to repair the gates would be completed this week.

Following the damage last month, red tape could be seen across the gap left by the gates, with part of one gate appearing to rest against some undamaged railings.
At the time, social media users reacted in shock to the picture, with one account reposting the image and commenting: “Oh no! How awful”.
