A woman has died after she was hit by a mainline train in north London.
London Ambulance Service (LAS) was called to Hadley Wood station to reports that a person had been hit by a train at around 5.30pm yesterday evening (September 13).
The service sent an incident response officer and a medic in a fast-response car to the incident.
An LAS spokesperson said that a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Twitter, LNER apologised to one customer for the disruption and said that those who experienced delays as a result of the incident can claim compensation.
Thameslink and Great Northern services were also impacted for around three hours.
British Transport Police said that the incident is not being treated as suspicious and that a file will be prepared for the coroner.
