Ten restaurants across north London have been nominated for the regional heats of an Asian food award.
Five eateries in Camden, three in Haringey and one each in Brent and Islington will fight it out to win the regional Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA) in October.
The awards are a recognition of exceptional restaurants, takeaways, chefs, and restaurateurs all across the UK that celebrate the culinary excellence and diversity of Asian cuisines.
The Rajdoot, in Fleet Road, Hampstead, is one of the nominees. It won the Best Indian Restaurant in West London category at the 2021 Euro Asia Curry Awards in recognition of its food, customer service and atmosphere.
Other Camden nominees are Dishoom Kings Cross, Pham House Vietnamese restaurant in Broadhurt Gardens, West Hampstead, Pinos Warung, which offers Indonesian cuisine in the Stables Market, Chalk Farm, and The Spice, an authentic Indian restaurant in Fortess Road, Kentish Town.
Haringey nominees are Shahi Pakwan, an Indian restaurant in Alymer Parade, Highgate, Hala Restaurant in Green Lanes, which serves Turkish dishes, and Methi Indian Restaurant in Palace Gates Road, Wood Green.
Bengal Spice in Holloway Road, Islington, and Ruhit's Indian Cuisine, in Sidmouth Road, Kensal Rise, Brent, complete the list.
