A young woman from West Finchley was attacked in her own home after two men broke in and stole some jewellery.
The 21-year-old was "terrified" when burglars broke through her front door in Church Crescent at 8.40am on June 17, Barnet police said.
The intruders attacked the woman before making off with some of her jewellery about a minute later.
The suspects are described as two black men in their 20s. One was about 6ft with short black hair and was wearing dark trousers and a T-shirt under a red and yellow vest. The other was bald and about 5ft 7in.
It is possible that the men were seen earlier with a white man and may be connected to a large dark car seen in the area at the time of the offence.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Brad Crossley appealed for witnesses to come forward.
He said: "These men have terrified the 21-year-old female occupant of this house while committing this burglary.
"I am asking for anyone to come forward to police, in confidence, with information that could assist police in arresting those involved in this crime."
