Two police incidents shut a section of the M25 in both directions in the early hours of the morning.
Hertfordshire Constabulary were first called to the motorway near to junction 23 South Mimms at around 6.15am today (July 27) due to concerns about the welfare of a woman.
Officers attended the scene and closed part of the road up to junction 24 Potters Bar.
It has been confirmed that the woman was safely brought to safety.
