A 19-year-old woman is fighting for her life in hospital after a crash in the early hours of the morning.
Police were called to Burnt Oak Broadway, Edgware, just before 1.30am today (July 24) to reports of a crash involving two cars.
A woman, believed to be aged 19, was found seriously injured in one of the vehicles.
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service treated her at the scene, before rushing her to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
Motorists have been urged to avoid the area this morning after police shut part of the road to investigate the crash.
A police spokesperson confirmed that nobody has been arrested in connection with the incident.
A detour for bus routes 32, 142, 204, 251, 288, 292 and 303 is currently in operation.
Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses or drivers with dash cam footage to come forward.
