I don't understand all these worries with polyclinics. I, for one, will not fall to partisan scare tactics. This cleverly organised clinic will help alleviate the wait periods that still plague the NHS from time to time, while allowing greater flexibility in GP visits.

Our MP, Andrew Dismore, observed that working people should be able to see their physician without taking time off from work (Soapbox, Times Series, June 5). And polyclinic service will mean extended hours to early morning, evening, or weekend appointments.

Polyclinic service means a whole collection of services under one roof. This added convenience will mean less trips back and forth and a more streamlined process overall.

The Labour Party has been very successful at shortening hospital waiting lines over the past 11 years, and polyclinics are yet another Labour innovation to bring better care to those who need it.
