A pensioner has died after he was hit by a van in a supermarket car park.
The collision happened outside the Colney Hatch Tesco Extra store on Saturday afternoon (September 24).
Emergency services were called to the car park, off the A406 North Circular, at 4.50pm.
An air ambulance was also called and paramedics treated a man aged in his 80s before he was taken to hospital, where he died the following day.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers, the Metropolitan Police said.
The van involved in the crash did not stop at the scene, and police believe the driver is still on the run.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
They have been released pending further enquiries.
With enquiries continuing, police have issued an appeal for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Inspector Ian Watson, from the Met's serious collision investigation unit, said: “The car park was extremely busy with people going about their day when this collision occurred.
"If you saw anything, or captured events on dash cam or a mobile device, then please get in touch.”
Anyone with information that could help police is asked to call 020 8246 9820 with the reference 4826/24SEP.
