I am pleased Barnet Homes chairman Trevor Renouf, in his letter Rat facts contested' (Times Series, April 24) has managed to look after the interests of the Barnett family.
What he and his colleagues seem to collectively do is miss the point. Why is he so happy to publicise the fact that this family, and I have every sympathy for them, were booked into a hotel for 15 nights at Barnet Homes' expense to block holes in the kitchen?
Surely this is an unacceptable response from Barnet Homes' contractors? Fifteen days to block some holes?
I would guess the majority of this time was taken up assessing the risks involved with carrying out the work.
