An elderly disabled Potters Bar woman has become a "prisoner in her own home" after her car was stolen from outside her house.
The 81-year-old pensioner, who is too scared to be named, awoke on the morning of March 9 to find the car gone.
She is now appealing for the car to be returned so she can regain her freedom.
She said: "I am a disabled and elderly lady. I can't walk very far because of a problem with my back. I can't do anything at all, really.
"My car is my lifeline to enable me to get out. At present I am a prisoner in my own home."
The car is a maroon Ford Fiesta, registration number G198 YLK. It was taken from Coopers Road, in Little Heath, Potters Bar, between 10.30pm on March 8 and 10am on March 9.
Anyone with any information about the car can call 01707 651386.
