A chef who has worked with the likes of Gordon Ramsey is hosting a "charity cook school" to support people battling cancer.
Jeff Peters, 38, has served up food around the globe and in top London restaurants such as Claridge's and The Square.
But his next port of call is the Barnet College catering school, in Grahame Park, Colindale, where he will spend a day passing on top tips from his kitchen.
A team of around 30 trainee cooks will learn recipes from Michelin star restaurants through demonstrations and hands-on classes.
On the menu will be dishes ranging from Moroccan lamb with couscous and aubergine salad to scallops with a sweet chilli sauce.
And Mr Peters, who also has his own catering business, has lined up some expert chefs to assist him, as well as a host of companies to donate quality ingredients.
He said: "There will be some great recipes for people to reproduce at home and some great dinner party tricks. You'll learn where to source good products and how to get everything out the kitchen at the same time.
"I hope it is going to be fun and informal. I just want to make it a perfect day."
At the end of the course, trainees will be able to sit down for a late lunch with partners, guests and a glass of wine.
They can go home knowing the proceeds will be going to a good cause, as all the money raised in fees will be given to cancer charities.
Mr Peters was moved to organise the event after losing his mother to the illness about three years ago.
He said: "I decided when my mum died that I was just going to go for things in my life and I did. Then this community project came about."
The chef, who now lives and works in Watford but trained at Barnet College, hopes the event on May 17 will be the first of many. He added: "The idea has just grown and grown. It has got the potential to be the best project I have ever done in my life."
