Once again I read the residents of Strafford Road, Alston Road and The Avenue will be hostages to Transport for London's fortune and the greater knowledge of Mr Hendy. Does he know where Barnet is?
I also wonder how many visitors to Barnet who park in any of the roads the 384 uses return to their cars to find door mirrors smashed and body damage but didn't bother to report it to police or insurance companies, thinking it's a one-off accident, thus distorting figures.
Also has any TfL operative noticed that only a few yards from Strafford Road is a width restriction, put in some years ago to stop large vehicles rat-running from St Albans Road to Wood Street - surely a sign the roads are not wide enough for large vehicles.
The standard of bus driving in these narrow streets is not high and residents deserve to be able to park their cars in some safety. We all know accidents happen but this bus route is a route too far.
