A mental health trust in north London has launched the biggest campaign in its history as it looks to recruit more than 400 people.
Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust says it wants to employ people who live locally as it undergoes major change to improve the mental health care it provides.
The trust says it is investing in new services and transforming the way it works, so that waiting lists are shorter and those with mental health conditions are treated sooner and closer to where they live.
Its new recruitment campaign, Someone Like Me aims to attract doctors, nurses, therapists and other healthcare professionals.
The trust, which serves a population of more than one million, also wants to offer roles to people without traditional, professional qualifications, but with valuable, lived experience of mental illness.
Chief executive Jinjer Kandola said: “There’s never been a greater need for someone like you as we grow our mental health services to meet demand, reduce waiting times and improve access to the wide range of services we offer across Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, so please consider joining us.”
