Drivers are facing disruption due to the temporary closure of two lengthy stretches of road for roadworks.
A notice from Hertfordshire County Council in this week’s edition of the Barnet Borough Times details the extent of the closures on the A1000 Barnet Road/Great North Road and Wagon Road.
The temporary closure order has been made and it comes into effect on April 1 for a period of up to 18 months, but the restrictions will only apply at times indicated by signs at or near the roads.
The closures are due to apply to the A1000 (Barnet Road/Great North Road) from its junction with Dancers Hill Road south westwards for a distance of 1702m, and Wagon Road, Barnet, from its junction with Dancers Hill Road south-eastwards for a distance of 1340m.
Elsewhere, a 40-day closure in Rookery Way NW9 is due to begin on April 11 for road resurfacing and footway replacement works.
This order, if made, will prohibit vehicles from entering Rookery Way from Rushgrove Avenue; turning right into Rookery Way from Rushgrove Avenue; and turning left into Rookery Way from Rushgrove Avenue while the works take place.
