A lengthy programme of roadworks that will close a street until spring are due to get underway next month.
A notice from the London Borough of Barnet in this week’s edition of the Barnet Borough Times details plans for the closure of Heybourne Crescent NW9 between Nos. 55 and 77 from November 8.
This work is due to last 172 days and is needed for water main diversionary works, kerb realignment and resurfacing.
During the closure, traffic will be diverted via Heybourne Crescent, Lanacre Avenue, Grahame Park Way, Field Mead, Clayton Field and vice versa.
Railway track replacement and maintenance works are set to close Bunns Lane NW7 at its junction with Grahame Park Way twice next month.
The road is due to be closed from 10pm on November 6 to 10pm on November 8, and from 10pm on November 13 to 10pm on November 15.
The alternative route for traffic at these times will be via Bunns Lane, Flower Lane, The Broadway and vice versa.
Several other streets in north-west London are set to be temporarily closed for roadworks.
Moon Lane EN5 is due to be shut to vehicles at its junction with Moxon Street from Monday for the installation of a new electrical connection.
The work is due to last for four days and the diversion will be via Moon Lane, Tapster Street, Moxon Street, Moon Lane and vice versa.
The following day work is due to start on repairing a collapsed sewer in Granville Road EN5.
This is expected to take 21 days and motorists should use Marsh Lane, Highwood Hill, Lawrence Street and vice versa.
Mobile crane and tower crane installation works are due to lead to traffic restrictions in Oakleigh Road North and Whetstone Close N20 for two days from November 6.
These will prevent any vehicle from turning left into Oakleigh Road North from Whetstone Close; and temporarily close Oakleigh Road North to westbound traffic between Whetstone Close and High Road.
The alternative route will be via Myddleton Park, Friern Barnet Lane and High Road.
A 13-day closure of Moss Hall Crescent N12 at its junction with Alexandra Grove is set to start on November 8 for gas main replacement works.
The alternative route will be via Moss Hall Crescent, Ballards Lane, Alexandra Grove and vice versa.
Also from November 8, gas main replacement works are due to shut Brent Park Road NW4 at its easternmost junction with Layfield Road for seven days.
The diversion will be via Brent Park Road, Layfield Road and vice versa.
