The post box opposite Totteridge Common
The sight of a blue post box caused some confusion for residents.
The post box, which seemed to have been painted blue, confused residents as to the purpose of its repainting.
The colour was applied to the post box weeks ago, but it has now come to light that the paint was in fact an act of vandalism.
A Royal Mail spokesperson said: “We can confirm that this postbox on Totteridge Lane has been vandalised and will be repainted in our iconic red as soon as possible.”
Metropolitan Police were contacted but were not able to comment.
