A giant walkabout polar bear is one of the festive treats to come to a shopping centre this Christmas.
The Broadwalk Centre will host festive events from December 9 including a giant walkabout polar bear, free face painting, activity workshops with Santa's elves and selfie stand.
This coming Saturday the polar bear will be on hand to pose for photos, and a face painter will be on hand to meet youngsters.
On December 16 the elves will be setting out activities for children in the workshop, including helping to make Santa's grotto out of recycled materials and design candy canes, a snowman and igloo.
Finally, Santa will be at the shopping centre on December 22 until Christmas eve.
Angela Brooks, centre manager, said: "I’m delighted to be hosting a variety of free events throughout the Christmas period. I’m very much looking forward to seeing the children’s creations during our Santa set-building workshop.
"Throughout 2017 we have hosted a variety of eco-friendly events with the aim to reduce Edgware’s carbon footprint and raise awareness of recycling unwanted household goods.
"I hope our workshop will not only provide families with a fun afternoon activity but will also help children understand the importance of recycling."
All the events run from 12pm until 4pm each day.
