A man found with £5million worth of cocaine has been jailed.
Mehmet Greca, 32, of Deodora Close in Friern Barnet, was jailed for six years at Harrow Crown Court today (November 22) for possession of Class A drugs and criminal property.
The court heard that officers searched Greca's house on a drugs warrant in December 2016, to find the door to the flat had been secured with an iron grille.
Inside the flat officer uncovered 51 kilograms of high-purity cocaine packed in two large bags, and a rapid cash-counting machine with £80,632.13 in cash.
DC Jonathan Payne from the London Crime Squad, said: "Greca intended to flood the streets of London and the UK with a vast quantity of class A drugs.
"This was a significant seizure of cocaine, removing a large quantity of drugs and recovering a sizeable sum in cash."
He admitted guilt and was sentenced on the same day, where the judge also ordered a fine of more than £80,000.
