A Hendon teacher is a new face in a campaign encouraging people to become teachers.
Calvin Robinson, head of computer science at St Mary's and St John's CE School, Prothero Gardens, has been featured in the Department for Education's latest campaign on TV and radio.
Before going into teaching, Mr Robinson worked in technology and gaming.
He Robinson said: "Education is a real vocation and passion for me, so I’m delighted to be able to help encourage more people to get into teaching.
"It’s crucial for people – whether deciding on what career to embark on or looking to move into education from another profession, as I have – understand the great opportunities available.
"We need to encourage more industry professionals to take the leap into teaching, to ensure our young people are getting the best possible learning experience. A career in teaching offers you the opportunity to progress fast."
The campaign was launched in 2014 and aims to encourage 35,000 people to become teachers each year
