Do you or someone you know find it very difficult to talk more openly about dying, death and bereavement, and to make plans for the end of life?
What are your plans for Wednesday 10th May 2017?
There will be an event in Barnet on Wednesday 10th May 2017 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Finchley Memorial Hospital, Granville Road, North Finchley.
This event has been organised by a collaboration between:
Advocacy in Barnet; Alzheimer’s Society; Barnet Age UK; Barnet CCG; Carers Trust – Barnet Carers Centre; Healthwatch Barnet; and North London Hospice
You will learn how to initiate a conversation on your future care to ensure that your wishes for your care and treatment are known about, respected and recorded.
This aims to get people more active in planning for dying and death and helping support those who may need it in times of grief and bereavement, be they friends, family, or in your wider community.
Dying Matters is a coalition of 32,000 members across England and Wales that helps to achieve the above aim.
Every year in May, Dying Matters and their coalition members host an Awareness Week, which gives an unparalleled opportunity to place the importance of talking about dying, death and bereavement firmly on the national agenda.
Don’t miss out!
Come along and show your support for @DyingMatters on the day. Help spread the word, making sure you use #WhatCanYouDo. The more people who are informed, the better. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity! It could be one of the best decisions you ever make!
