Men’s Health Forum (MHF) is an independent charity which was formed in 1994. It aims to help men and boys by tacking inequalities and issues affecting their health. This remarkable charity is organising Men’s Health Week from Monday 13th June to Sunday 19th June 2016.
As everyone is aware, men are the first to complain regarding illnesses, such as ‘Man Flu’. However, they are often too shy or embarrassed to share their problems with their local GP.
A variety of events will be held throughout Men’s Health Week, with the theme ‘Together we can beat stress’. The MHF is keen to promote healthy living and well-being in men. Men will be asked to focus on their lifestyles. The campaign is related to healthy living and lifestyles, which is extremely important for leading a longer life.
The above theme is crucial for knowing how to deal with stress, as failure to successfully release it can result in serious problems.
Stress can be beaten in numerous ways:
• Exercise
• Sing
• Dance
• Laugh
• Listen to music
• Paint
• Write
• Volunteer
• Learn something new
There are many more ways to beat stress, such as talking with a friend or relative. For those who prefer to speak to a professional, a fantastic service will be launched during the week to enable men to use the Men’s Health Forum’s new Beat Stress service. This is a free text chat with experts trained in beating stress, no names, and no hassle.
By knowing how to tackle stress, we can all lead healthier lives.
Men are strongly advised to discuss what they do to beat stress, in addition to talking about the causes of stress they experience.
The purpose of the awareness week is to promote health. Furthermore, there will be several fundraising events taking place for the charity.
