Hospital Radio Barnet has been commended in the National Hospital Radio Awards after being shortlisted for a 15-minute interview with members of the Red Arrows.
Presenter Garry Lakin, 52, received a certificate of commendation in the special event' category at a recent awards ceremony in Northampton.
Mr Lakin, who also works as a freelance photographer, said: "I have been involved with Barnet Hospital Radio for 28 years and still enjoy it as much as ever. This is tremendous publicity and shows we are interested in covering diverse topics for our listeners."
Former presenters on the station at Barnet Hospital, Wellhouse Lane, Barnet, include Capital Gold DJ Dean Martin.
