Is Hertsmere Council in crisis?
Once we had our bins emptied on Monday with the rest of the street. However, the council changed the day, for the flats only, to Friday.
Since the changeover, rubbish has been left for three weeks without being collected.
As a consequence, with no room in the bins, bags have been left either on the ground or on top of the bin itself. Which has encouraged rats and other opportunist creatures to a takeaway service.
This is an environmental health issue. I am upset that I have to keep phoning each time rubbish accumulates.
Our council tax has more than doubled and the service gets worse - hardly surprising when resources are wasted.
