A 26-year-old Temple Fortune woman has been killed in a road crash near her home.
Emma McDonald died instantly when she was struck by a motorbike in Finchley Road, at the junction with Portsdown Avenue, just after 8.30pm last Wednesday.
She lived in Dingwall Gardens and died at the scene.
The man riding the motorcycle was not injured in the accident and no one has been arrested in connection with the collision.
This week Ms McDonald’s family were too traumatised to speak about what had happened and no further details of the accident have been released.
But a police sign appealing for witnesses was put up close to the incident spot on the main road close to Golders Green Crematorium.
A post mortem examination revealed Ms McDonald died as a result of multiple injuries.
An inquest into the accident has been opened and adjourned at Hornsey Coroners Court, pending further police enquiries.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by officers from the Metropolitan Police’s accident investigation unit at Alperton. Witnesses are asked to call them on 020 8246 9820.
