Detectives investigating the murder of a Cricklewood man are appealing for information about a distinctive green car which they believe may have taken the suspects to the scene of the murder.
Father-of-two Robert Lettin, 57, known to friends as Lob', was shot in the chest in his Lichfield Road flat on January 24 with his own air rifle.
He died the same day from his injuries.
A small amount from cannabis, cash, a laptop computer and mobile phone were taken during the incident.
Police said they still need to trace a green VW Polo car and its driver to help their investigation.
The driver of the car, described as a black man in his 30s, may not have been involved and may not know what happened that afternoon.
Detective Inspector Ian Foster said: "The car is a particularly distinctive green and we know that not very many Polos that colour have been produced.
"We would appeal for the driver of the car, or anyone who may have information about who he may be, to get in touch.
"We would also like to appeal to anyone who saw a green VW Polo in the Cricklewood area before or after the murder took place or who has seen a car matching this description in the north London area since to contact us."
One man, unemployed Francis Boateng, 24, of Cornermead, Grahame Park Estate, Colindale, has been charged with Mr Lettin's murder and conspiracy to rob. Two other men have been charged with conspiracy to rob.
Boateng will appear at the Old Bailey on May 24. On the same day Jerome Errol Zion Williams, 24, of Cambridge Avenue, Kilburn, will appear charged with conspiracy to rob.
The name of the other man charged with conspiracy to rob has not been released.
