Firefighters were called to tackle a blaze that tore through a derelict building.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service was called shortly after 2am to the scene in Barnet Road, Potters Bar, where a two-storey house was alight.
Five fire engines attended, with crews from Potters Bar, Borehamwood, Cheshunt and St Alban’s.
The fire was put out at 5.59am and an investigation is due to take place.
