Congratulations to Barnet’s Conservative MPs, now re-elected with 50.9 per cent (Freer), 49 per cent (Offord) and 48.6 per cent (Villiers) of votes in their constituencies.
Nationally, three other parties, who together took 24 per cent of the vote will get only ten seats in Parliament. Would our MPs agree this is unreasonable and that the electoral system deserves further review?
Their professed opposition to local library closures clashes with their national party policies, which are set to all but force further cuts to services such as libraries, police, nursery schools, street maintenance and waste collection.
So, will they vote for or against upcoming funding decisions that will precipitate such further cuts?
