A man has been jailed for growing cannabis with an estimated street value of £50,000.
Police discovered 126 cannabis plants in a unit on the Cranbourne Industrial Estate, Potters Bar, on December 10, while asking local businesses to sign up to the Business Watch scheme.
Liam Sheridan, 27, of West Kensington, was arrested on December 16 and pleaded guilty to the cultivation of cannabis at a hearing on March 10.
He was sentenced last Friday at St Albans Crown Court to 28 months imprisonment.
Detective Constable David Boden from Hertsmere’s Local Crime Unit said: “Drugs have a devastating impact on people’s lives and I hope this sentencing will serve as a warning to others involved in these crimes that we will not tolerate this behaviour and will use all powers and tactics available to us to target suspects and bring them to justice.”
