Questions were put to Professor Robert Winston about the future of the NHS during a visit to East Finchley.
More than 100 people turned up to see the renowned scientist and Labour peer speak last night at the Shree Aden Depala Community Centre, in Church Lane, along with Sarah Sackman, Labour’s parliamentary candidate for Finchley and Golders Green.
The professor spoke about the impact of the Government’s health policies, Labour’s plans and the upcoming General Election, before taking questions on the NHS in Barnet, including GP closures and A&E waiting times.
Ms Sackman said: “It was fantastic, Robert Winston spoke brilliantly. We had a really good debate which married both local issues with the national picture.”
