A couple are rehearsing round the clock as they prepare to dazzle judges in a dance contest with their fancy footwork.
Julie Tucker, of Mill Way, Mill Hill, persuaded her long-time friend David Perlmutter to be her partner in this year’s North London Hospice Dancing Strictly competition.
The 45-year-old mother is a classically trained dancer, but she hopes to hot up the competition with her salsa number.
She has already bought a sexy pink costume, and she and Mr Perlmutter have been rehearsing from 8pm to 2am most Saturdays.
Mrs Tucker, a PR manager for Business Environment, said: “David’s not a dancer at all but he’s working really hard.
“I am getting more nervous as the days go on but we’ve had loads of practice. We’ve actually choreographed our own dance which will make it more exciting.”
They hope to raise £500 before the competition date on February 7. To sponsor them click here.
