Gang members who tied up three men before stabbing them during a violent robbery in a Hendon warehouse have been jailed.
Brothers Bhagat and Padam Singh, of Urswick Road, Hackney, were found guilty of conspiracy to rob after a four-day trial at last month.
Bhagat, 28, was sentenced to ten years behind bars and Padam, 26, was given eight years. A number of other suspects are yet to be identified.
The group of men burst into a warehouse in Adrian Avenue, Hendon, on at 7.25pm on September 27, 2012 with their faces covered with scarves, wearing gloves and carrying knives.
CCTV footage showed them stabbing one victim as he tried to make a run for the door, before he fell to the ground and was kicked until he lost consciousness.
The gang stole several items including cash, a CCTV server and a television, which they loaded into a van and drove off, as well as stealing a car belonging to one of the victims.
Barnet police were able to determine that the van had been rented and after speaking to the hire company, they managed to track down the Singh brothers.
Padam Singh was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the robbery and his brother, Bhagat Singh, later handed himself in at Colindale police station.
Both chose not to comment during their interviews and provided statements strongly denying any involvement in the robbery.
A number of other suspects remain unidentified and are still outstanding.
Detective Constable Chris Wall of Barnet Police said: "This was a well-planned and violent attack on three innocent people for no apparent reason.
“Thankfully, one of the victims has fully recovered from stab wound injuries to his liver. However, another of the victims awaits surgery to repair a severed nerve in his leg and hopefully will regain full use again of his limb.
“The Singh brothers took steps to avoid being captured but eventually it was possible to prove their involvement in this offence. I hope the sentences will give the victims some sense of justice."
