Developers have announced plans to build 400 new homes and space for shops and businesses in Hendon.
NEAT Developments wants to build on a site between Rookery Way and Edgware Road in the Hyde.
There is currently a Homebase and a used car sales lot on the site, which NEAT Developments wants to turn into what is calls a Hendon Hub, providing residential space and workspace for small and medium sized businesses.
Small retail units have been proposed as well as a plaza and amenities for residents.
A spokesman for the project said: "We are delighted to announce our plans to transform the site, which will deliver much-needed homes in the local area, as well as a space for the innovators and entrepreneurs of the future.
"The plans for the business hub will provide a unique space within Hendon for small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs to thrive, driving investment and creating growth within the local economy.
"We are now looking forward to consulting local residents and community groups on the plans, and we very much hope that they will be as enthusiastic about these proposals as we are."
There will be a public consultation to give people the chance to see the plans and have their say.
There will be a public exhibition at St Matthias Church in Rushgrove Avenue, Colindale, from Tuesday June 17 to Friday June 20. For a list of times to view the plans visit www.thehydehendon.co.uk
