A young couple are cooking up a sexy salsa to hot up this year’s Dancing Strictly competition.

Alexandra Taropa, 28, and her boyfriend Ovidiu Lucian Hustiu, 26, are preparing something special to impress judges in the North London Hospice contest at Millfield Theatre in Edmonton.

Alexandra, of Hendon, said: “We’re nearly finished our choreography and it’s going really well. We’ve got a little surprise ready - we’ll be doing our best to bring something different to the competition.”

The pair have two weeks to perfect their routine before the grand final on Saturday, February 22.

They will go head-to-head against eight couples for their chance to win a glitter ball trophy.

All proceeds from the event will go to the hospice, which supports people with life-limiting illnesses.
