People will come together to plant a tree in memory of a man who was determined to improve public safety in Edgware.
Morton Creeger, the former chairman of the Edgware Ward Panel, died last October after a heart attack.
His friends and family, as well as Sergeant Dan Reid of the Edgware Safer Neighbourhood Team, will be planting the tree on the Stonegrove and Spur Road Estate, Edgware.
The 71-year-old chaired the panel, which is made up of local police, neighbourhood watch, residents and businesses, for five years.
People are invited to help plant the tree on Sunday, August 11 at 3pm.
