A young man had to be airlifted to hospital after he was stabbed in North Finchley this afternoon.
The victim, in his 20s, suffered potentially life-threatening knife wounds in Regents Close, off Nether Street, near Tally Ho Corner shortly before 1pm.
Police have sealed off the alleyway, which runs behind a parade of shops facing the top end of Ballards Lane.
The London Air Ambulance landed near the busy town centre before the young man was flown to a north London hospital.
London Ambulance Service also sent a single responder in a car, an ambulance crew and a duty officer to the scene.
No arrests have yet been made and police are still investigating the circumstances of the attack.
