A sports club in its ninety-first year says a new £10,000 grant will “go a long way to securing its future”.
The Temple Fortune Club successfully applied to Biffa Award for the cash to improve its squash courts and bowling green.
This year’s £9,720 grant follows a further cash bonus from Biffa Award last year, which the club used to refurbish its clubhouse.
The scheme is a multi-million pound fund for community projects funded by landfill tax credits donated by Biffa Waste Services.
Club chairman Gerard Bendien said: “On behalf of our members I would like to thank Biffa Award for this very generous and invaluable grant.
“This will be used for the much-needed refurbishment and will go a long way to securing the future of our club.”
