Potters Bar people have one last chance to comment on how a new charge will help pay for future schools and services.
Hertsmere Borough Council has drawn up plans for a Community Infrastructure Levy, a tariff which developers will have to pay the authority before they begin work.
The fee, which is set and spent by the borough council, is then put towards projects such as schools, hospitals, road schemes and play areas.
Draft proposals on how much the council should charge were released earlier this year but amended after a public consultation in April.
Residents now have the chance to comment on a second consultation, which runs until Friday, September 6.
To comment on the charges, write to the Policy and Transport Team, Hertsmere Borough Council, Elstree Way, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, or email core.strategy@hertsmere.gov.uk
To view the Hertsmere draft charging schedule and a guide to CIL visit www.hertsmere.gov.uk/CIL Copies are also available at libraries in Hertsmere or from the council’s civic offices in Potters Bar.
