“It’s a chance for people to get to know the community they are part of and bring people together and I hope they do more events like this.”
Organiser Ajay Srivastava: “We’ve done events like this in the past but it is the second year for the Best of Barnet Fair.
“It’s a great day for the whole family and with the sunny weather we hope people will really enjoy themselves.”
Anji Patel who also helped organise the community day, said: “For the museum it’s really important we engage with the wider community.
“The museum is a big attraction of the borough and we want to give people a chance to celebrate the best of Barnet.”
The two-day Best of Barnet fair, held in Grahame Park Way, is now in its second year and offers people the chance to find out more information about community groups and charities working in their area.
Richard Healey from Rolling Base, which ran a stall offering games and activities, said: “Today is great day for us to get out in the community and show people what we do as an organisation.
“There is something for everyone here and it’s a great chance for the community to come together.”
