The police cordon has been removed from a bank targeted by an armed raider.
A man wearing a crash helmet and wielding a hand gun stole a small amount of cash from Lloyds Bank in Mill Hill Broadway today at 11.50am.
The cash machine at the bank remains out of order.
No one was injured and no arrests have yet been made.
A spokesman from Lloyds TSB said the organisation could not comment since this was a police matter, adding staff were aiding officers with their enquiries.
Customer Doros Partasides, who was visiting the bank to withdraw money, said he was "shocked" at the incident.
He added: "You don't expect anything like this to happen in Mill Hill especially on such a sunny day.
"The streets were crowded with people but no-one saw anything.
"It really was daylight robbery."
